MISSION STATEMENT

VUT FM pledges to offer music, information and variety entertainment in the form of diversified radio programming. As its core target group VUT FM targets the community of the Vaal Triangle. In so doing VUT FM will also remain sensitive to the impact of its programming on the student community of the Vaal University of Technology and the learners at the various Institutions of learning, in the broader Vaal Triangle community. All of these goals will be achieved by way of:

- Creating quality radio programs that meet with the approval of its listeners and investors.

- Providing professional service in all aspects of its day-to-day business.

- Reporting news material that is impartial, fair, unbiased and based on current affairs as derived from the local sector of the community.

- Showcasing, Promoting and Developing the music and musicians from within the Vaal Triangle community and beyond.

- Offering a constructive debating platform and, in context, ensure that all sectors of the community participate by stating their views and concerns without prejudice or deprivation.

- Creating and maintaining effective and democratic staffing structures, designed to accomplish the state objectives.

- Providing a forum within which the different sectors of the community can interact in a way that helps to uphold mutual respect

- Raising funds to ensure the continued successful running of the radio station.
